ARTIST STATEMENT

Susana O’Daniel is a photographer, best known for highlighting people and issues that are often ignored or unseen in Arkansas and around the globe. Her work ranges from the political to the purely fashionable. She is influenced by the street photography of Vivian Maier, Bill Cunningham, and William Eggleston. O'Daniel holds a Master of Arts in communication from the University of Arkansas and a certificate of completion from the Head Start program in Shirley, AR. She was the chief photographer for her high school newspaper. Prior to that, her work focused on photos of the family cat, Socks.
